The news today is mixed. Our 4 West unit has completed testing and cleared of their outbreak status with everyone testing negative. Unfortunately, our 2 East unit completed another round of testing today and one patient tested positive for COVID-19. There are also two staff members that have recently tested positive that work in this area. The patient is quarantining in their room, and currently asymptomatic. We will continue to test patients in this area, with the next testing being done on Monday, December 12th. We know that multiple respiratory illnesses are present and circulating rapidly within the community. This is why it is so important for staff, patients, and visiting families to wear their masks appropriately. Additional measures to adhere to include, washing your hands, before, during and after your visit and distancing yourself as much as possible while visiting. We will continue to post updates here as we know more.
