Marissa S. Varney, President and Administrator
Marissa holds a nursing degree from Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska, and a Nursing Home Administrator’s license. With over 30 years of experience in geriatric nursing, she has been with St. Mary’s for more than two decades. During her tenure at d’Youville Pavilion, Marissa has held various roles, including staff nurse, nurse manager, director of nursing, and assistant administrator. In her spare time, she enjoys walking in the park and gardening. Marissa takes great pride in her role and in every staff member at d’Youville Pavilion, appreciating their passion, commitment to patients and residents, and dedication to living the mission every day.
Debra Berube, Director of Nursing
As the Director of Nursing at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion, Deb is responsible for the leadership and management of the nursing department. In this position, Deb assumes 24-hour responsibility and accountability for direction and coordination of nursing services in collaboration with all other ancillary departments.
Deb has been a nurse for just under 30 years, with most of that time serving our elders. Deb has been with St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion since 2004 and has worked in various roles throughout the facility to include Nurse Unit Manager, Health and Safety Manager, and Assistant Director of Nursing. These roles helped Deb to grow in her experience which contributes to her role as the Director of Nursing.
In her spare time, Deb spends time with friends and family including three grandchildren, 3 grand-dogs, and 4 grand-cats. Favorite places to go are wherever it’s warm.
