At St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion, we strive to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our residents. From our robust pastoral care to a full calendar of activities and events, we provide residents and their loved ones with the broad array of resources, services and activities needed to make the most of life.
Recreational Therapy
Recreational therapy, also referred to as recreation therapy and therapeutic recreation, is a treatment service that provides treatments and recreation activities to individuals with illnesses or disabling conditions to improve or maintain physical, mental and emotional well-being and help reduce depression, stress and anxiety. Recreational therapies help patients recover basic motor functioning and reasoning abilities, build confidence and socialize more effectively. Their treatment includes goal-oriented programming. Treatments may incorporate arts and crafts, animals, sports, games, dance and movement, drama, music and community outings.
The Recreational Therapy program at d’Youville is designed to complement and support our other services, such as therapeutic activities and restorative nursing.
June’s Garden
June’s Garden is the outdoor living environment at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion that brings peace and comfort to patients, residents, and their families. Completed in 2017, the beautiful space was made possible through generous gifts from the Scales family and supporters of St. Mary’s.

Through the generosity of our supporters and our partnership with Davis Landscape, we offer residents and their loved ones peaceful pathways, a gazebo, outdoor kitchen and more—all in a beautiful garden setting.
