COVID-19 Family Update 11-16-2020

Last week we sent out a total of 373 staff swabs as a part of our regularly scheduled surveillance testing.  All have returned NEGATIVE. Our facility has been cleared of the COVID-19 Outbreak status which is great news!

As you all may be aware, the cases in Androscoggin County have risen dramatically in recent weeks. We are now classified as an area that has a high level of community transmission. What does this mean for us at d’Youville Pavilion? Due to the high level of community transmission around us we will be increasing our staff testing to a minimum of every two weeks. In following CDC guidance, we will also be putting indoor visitation on hold. At this time, we are able to offer window visits only to our residents and families. Group activities will also be on hold while we continue to work to ensure the safety of our residents. This designation also means that appointments for patients/residents are limited to essential visits only.

We continue to remind residents and staff of washing their hands, wearing their masks and maintaining a 6-foot social distance from others.

Our staff also continue to monitor patients and residents twice daily for signs and symptoms of COVID-19.

Should there be any positive cases identified in residents or staff at d’Youville Pavilion we will post another update with the plan for testing and how this impacts the care provided to your loved one.
