We made it 20 months but today we are in the unenviable position of having two COVID-19 positive residents that have been moved to our dedicated COVID-19 unit. The complete round of staff/resident testing from Thursday and Friday returned negative. However, we identified an additional case of COVID-19 this morning in a symptomatic resident. We have been in contact with the CDC and will be testing all staff and residents on 4 East again tomorrow. At this time, visitation is halted on 4 East and all non-urgent appointments have been postponed. We will continue with increased sanitation of high touch areas, remain socially distant when able and remind all to practice proper hand hygiene. We will continue to post updates as we know more.
