Our testing of staff and residents working or residing on 2 East has returned negative. However, we did have an employee that tested positive in this batch of testing, that has been working on our 3 West and 4 East units. Additionally, we were notified of a contracted staff member that was in our facility during their infectious period that tested positive for COVID-19 last evening. This contracted staff member, had contact with limited residents on 3 East and 4 East. We have completed rapid testing on these residents today and results have returned negative. As a reminder we monitor all residents/patient throughout the day/night for any signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Our healthcare team continue to be screened for any symptoms of COVID-19 before they start their shift each day and referred to our Employee Health department when appropriate. The transmission/case rates of COVID-19 remain high in Androscoggin County and we continue to see the effects of that. We will continue to provide updates here as we know more.
