We have begun testing our unvaccinated staff members based on county transmission rate in accordance with our licensing requirements. Androscoggin county is considered an area of high transmission. High transmission areas require twice weekly testing of all staff that are unvaccinated. The 1st set of testing this week has all returned negative. We have opened this testing up to our vaccinated staff members if they wish to be tested as well, however it is not required. For the time being, we will test those individuals on Mondays and Thursdays until something changes with the transmission rate in our area. As we know, all individuals working in long term care settings must be fully vaccinated by October, 29th so we expect changes in guidance before then. We will continue to post updates with results and changes to our COVID protocols here.
