Today we were made aware of a fully vaccinated agency staff member that worked 09/04/2021 and developed symptoms at the end of their shift. We were notified today that this individual was tested on 09/05/2021 receiving a positive COVID-19 test result today. This person was in the facility on Saturday, 09/04/2021 and has had contact with residents on our 3 West unit. Beginning today, we will be testing all residents on 3 West, as well as all staff throughout the facility. Upon consultation with the CDC, it is recommended that we halt visitation on 3 West and keep residents that reside in this area in isolation on the unit. We are currently in the process of notifying all residents and their responsible parties when applicable of this positive case. We will continue to provide updates with testing results here when we know more.
