Unfortunately, we must share the news that we were notified today of a positive case of COVID-19 in one of our vaccinated staff members. This symptomatic employee was sent for testing that resulted in the positive test. This employee does work with residents on one of our LTC units. Upon consultation with the CDC, we have suspended visitation due to our suspected outbreak status. Additionally, we will be completing a full round of testing on all residents and staff in the coming days. We began this afternoon, with testing 173 members of our care team. We anticipate having the results of those tests sometime tomorrow. We will continue to post updates with results of testing and changes in CDC guidance here.
