This afternoon we were notified of a staff member that has tested positive for COVID-19.This staff member correctly reported symptoms before reporting to work this morning and was referred to our Employee Health Department. The vaccinated employee was subsequently tested for COVID-19 based on their symptoms. This employee does not have direct contact with patients and residents. We have been in communication with the Maine CDC and will be testing our entire care team today and tomorrow. We are currently in the process of notifying residents and their responsible parties, when applicable of our outbreak status. Unfortunately, for everyone’s safety we must also close down to visitors until we know the outcome of staff testing. We will continue to provide updates here as we know more.
