Only good news to share this evening. We are happy to report that the 130 tests that were sent yesterday have returned negative! After consultation with the CDC, our outbreak has also been lifted! The wait for this has been long and we couldn’t be more excited for our residents, families and care team. What this means? We will be following the recommended guidance on staff testing based on county positivity rates. This is published by the CDC weekly. Currently, the Androscoggin county positivity rate stands at 2.3% for the previous 28 days. This means we will move to testing staff once per month. The number of cases has been dropping in the community and we are so thankful for this! As we have been cleared of our outbreak, we will have increased visitation of residents/patients indoors. We will continue to follow recommended guidance for healthcare settings and ask that visitors and residents acknowledge the risks of visitation and recommended practices to be followed prior to visitation. To ensure the best visitation possible and ensure that visits don’t interfere with resident/patient appointments we ask that you continue to coordinate visits with Shelly Katula- Blais at 777-4461. As she receives many requests to coordinate visits, we ask that you leave a voicemail and she will return your call in the order she receives them.
Thank you for your continued support and patience as we continue to navigate COVID-19!
