Today, we began another round of testing for our entire care team. We collected and sent 200 staff swab samples and anticipate having results back sometime tomorrow. We continue to be classified as outbreak status by the Maine CDC but are hopeful this will be cleared sometime in the near future so we can implement the new visitation guidelines suggested by CDC/DHHS. An outbreak, is defined as one positive case of COVID-19. We know that the residents, families and staff are anxious to get back to a new sense of normal. Seeing the community around us relax guidelines has been a challenge as we must continue to adhere to the guidelines set forth by our outbreak status to ensure the safety of all. We appreciate the patience of residents, families and staff as we continue to navigate the outbreak and break the cycle of cases.
Stay safe and stay healthy!
