COVID-19 Family Update 05/05/2022

You may have recently seen in the news that Maine leads the nation in having one of the highest COVID infection rates. Our rates of COVID-19 are 3 times higher than the national average. As infections are spiking all around us, we are asking for your help in keeping our residents and employees safe and healthy. While you are visiting, we ask that you continue to wear your mask throughout your visit and stay within the designated visitation space, whether this be your loved one’s room or another identified area. Remaining socially distant and practicing frequent hand hygiene also remain crucial steps to keep the facility free from COVID-19. As a healthcare team, we continue to practice masking, frequent hand hygiene and the other core infection prevention principles previously mentioned. We continue to offer testing to our care team, twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with any staff that are not up to date on vaccines required to participate in these testing events. We are committed to the health and safety of our residents, our care team and our community and we are asking those that visit our facility to help us maintain this commitment.
